Mission of the Ohio Farmers Union Family Farm Center, Inc.

Our misssion is to provide for the preservation and improvement of the family farm in the state of Ohio, through special projects that will focus on agricultural education and social, environmental and economic issues concerning the family farm and general farming in the state of Ohio; to provide scholarships and other support to college students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture that would support the family farm; and to conduct educational services, programs and activities within the Ohio community in regard to family farmland preservation; and also to protect and enhance the economic interest and quality of life of family farmers and ranchers in rural communites, etc. OFUFFC will encourage cooperative efforts by groups of farmers and rural residents as a primary means of accomplishing its mission. OFUFFC will also use revolving loan funds, grants, and provide technical assistance to farmers, groups of farmers, youth, and rural residents to assist in accomplishing the mission of the center.
