The Ohio Farmers Union has been the voice of family farmers, rural residents and consumers in the state capital of Columbus since 1934. We believe the needs of Ohio’s rural economy and the good that it brings every Ohio resident who enjoys food grown and raised locally are as important as the policy priorities of corporate America. We are dedicated to carrying the message of family farming and a sustainable Ohio economy that benefits each of us where we live and provides local, healthy choices for consumers.
In recent years the Ohio Farmers Union has been in the lead on renewable energy projects for agriculture, carbon credit programs for family farmers, cooperative enterprises helping to bring local farmers’ produce and dairy to market and education programs aimed at farmers and Ohio’s youth. Your membership dues support all of these efforts and many others.
If you are a family farmer or rural resident concerned about preserving your way of life, come and join us. If you are a consumer and you believe it’s important to buy locally from someone you know and trust, come and join us. If you are concerned about the environment and whether or not the economy works equally as well for the little guy as the big guy – join the Ohio Farmers Union.
