This is a communication sent to members of the Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association. It regards Monsanto’s heavy-handed tactics against farmers’ fields that get contaminated by the ag chemical giant’s products. Some of you may be interested … Ron

Dear OEFFA members,

As we reported to you earlier, Monsanto filed a motion to have our lawsuit against them dismissed. The Judge has asked to hear oral arguments on this motion on Tuesday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. (in downtown Manhattan). It should take only an hour or two.

While there is no expectation that the Judge will want to call any witnesses, a strong show of Plaintiffs will communicate to the judge the serious risks we face and the importance of our dispute with Monsanto.

If you are farmer concerned about Monsanto’s practice of suing farmers whose fields have been contaminated by Monsanto’s genetically engineered material for patent infringement and are able to attend oral arguments and potentially speak to the media and supporters about this matter, please email cgoland@oeffa.org or call me 614.421.2022 x202.

Concurrent with the court appearance, there will be A Citizen’s Assembly of Support for Family Farmers vs. Monsanto. To find out more about this gathering or to RSVP please go to: http://action.fooddemocracynow.org/sign/citizensassembly_monsanto/ .

Thank you,

Carol Goland

Executive Director

Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association
