The Ohio Farmers Union got some attention at the Columbus Arts Festival on Saturday by endorsing the work of Dailyfeats.com.
Dailyfeats.com is a website where anyone can track the things they do good for themselves and their community. For each activity tracked by the site, users earn points toward discounts with local and major retailers, restaurants and other businesses. For the user it’s one more way to motivate themselves to ‘Go Do Good’ in the parlance of Dailyfeats. For participating businesses, Dailyfeats.com provides a way for them to give back to those who are doing good.
OFU was asked to participate in the Dailyfeats Ohio campaign in Columbus on June 4. Ron Sylvester, a communications and public relations consultant who has done some work for OFU represented the Farmers Union at the Columbus Arts Festival.
“This opportunity came our way and it’s a good message for OFU to get behind. Dailyfeats awards points to users who buy locally and shop at farmers markets,” said OFU President Roger Wise.
OFU also received great play in the Dailyfeats press release and a mention on Clear Channel radio stations such as 610 WTVN in Columbus and 1100 WTAM in Cleveland.
